Name: Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Aura Edition 14
Brand: Lenovo

Our verdict

Lenovo's 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Aura Edition is a light work laptop with the memory and storage we want to see at this price. 16GB of fast memory (RAM), the short-term workspace for open apps, keeps many browser tabs and documents running smoothly. 512GB of storage holds years of documents and a good photo collection. Tom's Hardware tested a higher-specification 2026 7i version and praised its light body, OLED screen, speakers and battery life, while noting it had no HDMI, USB-A or headphone jack. The £599 UK version may use a different chip and screen, so check the listing. Performance depends on cooling and power settings, not only the names on the box, and battery claims are best-case figures. £599 was the checked UK price for the 16GB fast memory and 512GB storage version on 1 August 2026.

Buy it if

You mostly work in documents, browsers and video calls

Skip it if

How it would fit your home

Commuting

The 14-inch size and light build suit a daily bag; carry a charger until you know how long the battery lasts in your own use.

Study and office work

16GB of memory keeps research tabs, documents and video calls running together without slowing to a crawl.

Check before buying

Confirm the chip, screen type and sockets for the £599 16GB and 512GB version, since reviewed versions differ.

The details, in plain English

Memory and storage

This version has 16GB of fast memory, which lets you keep many apps and browser tabs open and switch between them without waiting. The 512GB drive is solid-state storage, which starts the laptop and opens files quickly, and holds a working document library plus a good photo collection. We would not choose less than this for a laptop you plan to keep.

What Tom's Hardware found

Tom's Hardware reviewed a higher-specification 2026 Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition with an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 chip, 32GB of memory and a 14-inch 2880 x 1800 OLED screen at 120Hz. It measured 476 nits of brightness and 16 hours 38 minutes of battery life from a 75Wh battery. It praised the light body and speakers, but found processor performance behind rivals. The £599 UK version may differ.

Sockets and practical checks

The version Tom's Hardware tested had three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports but no HDMI, no USB-A and no headphone jack, so older accessories would need an adaptor. Check the sockets on the exact version you buy, and try the keyboard and look at screen reflections in a shop if you can. Battery claims are best-case figures, and real use will be shorter.

A light 14-inch design made for carrying

A clear screen with enough room for documents and video

What to watch out for

Performance depends on cooling and power settings, not the names on the box alone
Battery claims are best-case figures and real use will be shorter

Compare the Yoga Slim 7 Aura Edition 14 with other laptops with memory, storage, screen and operating system in view; a cheaper model with less memory is not the same machine.
