Reviews distinguish research-based assessments from direct hands-on testing. Sources are named so you can see where a verdict comes from.
How we make a recommendation.
We begin with the jobs a product needs to do, then check the details that affect real use: comfort, ease, cost, support and the compromises. Our reviews explain whether we used the product ourselves or assessed published evidence. When new evidence changes a verdict, we correct it.
