Notebookcheck tested a different configuration with 8GB of memory. It found an Intel Core i3-N305 processor, a 1920 x 1080 IPS screen with a matte finish, a 53.05Wh battery and a Wi-Fi runtime of 11 hours 33 minutes. That figure is Notebookcheck's, on its unit, and real use will be shorter. The laptop weighs 1.71kg, and the keyboard is not backlit. It suits everyday tasks such as email, documents and video calls more than demanding work.

Our priced version has 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. Memory lets you keep more apps and browser tabs open before the laptop slows down, and 16GB is our preferred amount for a laptop you plan to keep. The SSD is the storage for Windows, apps and files, and 512GB gives more space than the common 256GB. Notebookcheck's unit had 8GB of soldered memory, so we do not use its memory findings for this version.
Processor and performance
Notebookcheck's unit has an Intel Core i3-N305, an 8-core processor with a top speed of 3.8GHz. It is a low-power chip, chosen to save energy and cost rather than for speed. It suits email, web browsing, documents and video calls. It will feel slower for photo or video editing and heavy multitasking. Performance also depends on cooling and power settings, so treat processor names with care.
Screen and keyboard
The screen is a 15.6-inch IPS panel at 1920 x 1080 with a matte finish. IPS keeps colours steady from side angles, and the matte finish cuts reflections. Notebookcheck measured a maximum brightness of 333 nits, which is fine indoors. The keyboard is a chiclet style without backlighting, so typing in the dark is harder. Try the keys in a shop if you can.
Battery, ports and weight
Notebookcheck measured 11 hours 33 minutes of Wi-Fi web use from the 53.05Wh battery, which is a strong result, but real use will be shorter. It lists two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with Power Delivery and DisplayPort, HDMI, a headphone jack and a Kensington lock slot. The laptop weighs 1.71kg, plus 334g for the charger.
