Install a new app
Find an app in Google Play and check its cost before installing.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open your apps
Swipe upwards on the Home Screen.

Open your apps
Swipe upwards on the Home Screen.

STEP 2
Open Play Store
Tap the multicoloured triangle labelled Play Store.
Play Store is different from Samsung’s Store app.
STEP 3
Tap Search
Tap Search at the bottom.
Search is the magnifying glass in the bottom navigation.
STEP 4
Enter an app name
Tap Search Apps & Games at the top, then type the name you want.
The search field is at the top of the Search page.
STEP 5
Run the search
Tap the magnifying glass on the keyboard.
Chess is entered as an example search.
STEP 6
Choose the correct app
Check the app name and developer. Tap your matching result; scroll if needed.
The highlighted example is Chess by AI Factory Limited. Other chess apps are separate products.
STEP 7
Install it
Check the app page, then tap Install. If you see a price instead, review the charge before continuing.
Install is the blue button below the app details. Free apps may still contain adverts or paid extras.
STEP 8
Open the installed app
Wait for the button to change to Open or Play, then tap it.
This game shows Play and Uninstall after installation. Other apps normally show Open.
IF SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT
A little help along the way.
Your menus may look different after an update. Look for the same control name and take your time.
I cannot find that option+
