Scan a document with Camera
Capture a straight, readable copy of a letter or receipt and save it in Gallery.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open Camera
Tap the Camera app.

Open Camera
Tap the Camera app.
STEP 2
Open camera settings
Tap the Settings cog at the top left of the Camera app.
STEP 3
Turn on Scan documents and text
Scroll to Scan documents and text and turn it on if it is off.
STEP 4
Point at the whole page
Put the paper on a plain surface and hold the phone directly above it. Wait for the page outline to appear.
STEP 5
Tap Scan
When the Scan button appears, tap it.
STEP 6
Adjust the corners — if needed
If needed, drag the corner dots so the whole page is inside the frame.
STEP 7
Tap Save
STEP 8
Check it in Gallery
Open Gallery and check every word is readable.
IF SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT

Your menus may look different after an update. Look for the same control name and take your time.
