Find a downloaded file
Open Downloads and find the newest item.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open Downloads in the Dock
Click Downloads near the right of the Dock. It can look like a folder or a stack of files.

Open Downloads in the Dock
Click Downloads near the right of the Dock. It can look like a folder or a stack of files.
STEP 2
Open the folder
Click Open in Finder in the expanded stack.
If Downloads is absent from the Dock, open Finder and choose Go, then Downloads.
STEP 3
Find the expected file
Look for the name of the file you downloaded. Check the name before opening it.
STEP 4
Open it carefully
Double-click the expected file. Do not open a download you do not recognise.
IF SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT

Your menus may look different after an update. Look for the same control name and take your time.
