Install a new app
Find and safely download an app from the App Store.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open App Store
Click App Store in the Dock or open it from Applications.

Click App Store in the Dock or open it from Applications.

Search
Use the search box to type the app name.
The search field is at the top left. The Categories page is an example; search for your own app rather than choosing one of these featured apps.
STEP 3
Check the developer
Open the result and check the app name and developer.
STEP 4
Check Get or the price
Click Get for a free download, or the price if you want to buy the app. Follow the sign-in and confirmation prompts.
Get does not mean every feature is free. Check for subscriptions and in-app purchases before proceeding.
IF SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT
A little help along the way.
Your menus may look different after an update. Look for the same control name and take your time.
