Connect a soundbar
Send the television's sound to a separate soundbar or home cinema system.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.
STEP 1 OF 8
Look at the HDMI sockets
Look at the HDMI sockets on the back of the television and find the one marked ARC or eARC.

Look at the HDMI sockets
Look at the HDMI sockets on the back of the television and find the one marked ARC or eARC.
STEP 2
Connect an HDMI cable between that socket and the ARC or eARC socket
Connect an HDMI cable between that socket and the ARC or eARC socket on the soundbar.
STEP 3
Press the Home button on your remote
STEP 4
Select Settings
Select the Settings cog on the right of the Home screen.
STEP 5
Select Display & Audio
STEP 6
Select HDMI CEC Device Control
STEP 7
Switch ARC/eARC on
STEP 8
Play something and turn the volume up
Play something and turn the volume up. The TV remote should now control the soundbar's volume.

Your menus may look different after an update. Look for the same control name and take your time.
