Connect a soundbar

Send the television's sound to a separate soundbar or home cinema system.

Look at the HDMI sockets

Look at the HDMI sockets on the back of the television and find the one marked eARC.

STEP 1

Look at the HDMI sockets

Look at the HDMI sockets on the back of the television and find the one marked eARC.

STEP 2

Connect an HDMI cable between that socket and the ARC or eARC socket

Connect an HDMI cable between that socket and the ARC or eARC socket on the soundbar.

Press the Home button on your remote

Select Settings

Select the Settings cog at the top right of the screen.

Select Settings

Select Settings to open the full settings menu.

Select Channels & Inputs

Select Inputs

Switch HDMI control on

Press the Back button to return to the main settings menu

Select Display & Sound

Set eARC to Auto

STEP 13

Play something and turn the soundbar volume up

Play something and turn the soundbar volume up. The TV remote should now control the soundbar's volume.
