Scan a document with Google Drive
Turn a paper letter or receipt into a searchable PDF in Google Drive.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open Google Drive
Tap the triangular Google Drive app.

Open Google Drive
Tap the triangular Google Drive app.
STEP 2
Open the scanner
Tap the Camera button at the bottom-right.
STEP 3
Put the whole page in view
Lay the paper flat and hold the phone above it. A blue line shows where the page will be cropped.
STEP 4
Take the picture
Tap the shutter button, or wait if Auto capture is on.
STEP 5
Tidy the page — optional
If needed, use Crop and rotate, Filter or Clean to tidy the page.
STEP 6
Add another page — optional
Tap Add if there is another page.
STEP 7
Tap Done
STEP 8
Name the file
Tap the title and type a clear name.
STEP 9
Check it is a PDF
Make sure PDF is selected.
STEP 10
Choose the folder
Tap Folder and choose where to save it in Drive.
STEP 11
Tap Save
