Find a lost phone
Locate, lock or play a sound on your device from another device.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open Settings
Do this now, before your iPhone is ever lost. Tap the grey Settings icon on your Home Screen.

Open Settings
Do this now, before your iPhone is ever lost. Tap the grey Settings icon on your Home Screen.
STEP 2
Tap your name
Tap your name at the top of Settings.
Zoe Taylor is an example name.
STEP 3
Tap Find My
Scroll down a little and tap Find My.
STEP 4
Tap Find My iPhone
Tap Find My iPhone at the top.
STEP 5
Make sure it is on
If the switch next to Find My iPhone is grey, tap it so it turns green.
This example shows the switch off (grey). Green means it is on.
STEP 6
Open Find My on another device
On another Apple device, open the Find My app, or go to icloud.com/find and sign in.
STEP 7
Locate the device
Select the missing device from the list to see its location on the map.
STEP 8
Tap Mark As Lost
STEP 9
Check the message
Check the phone number and message that will show on the lost iPhone.
STEP 10
Tap Activate
The name, number and message are examples. Use your own contact number.
