Save a new contact
Store someone's name and telephone number.
Use the pictures where shown. Follow the short instructions between them.

Open Contacts
Find and tap the grey Contacts icon. You may need to swipe to another Home Screen page.
Contacts is the grey address-book icon on the left.

Open Contacts
Find and tap the grey Contacts icon. You may need to swipe to another Home Screen page.

STEP 2
Add a new contact
Tap the plus button at the bottom right.
The plus button sits beside the search field in this version.
STEP 3
Enter their first name
Tap First name and type the person’s first name.
An empty First name field in New Contact.
STEP 4
Enter their last name
Tap Last name and type their surname.
The example first name is already entered; Last name is still empty.
STEP 5
Add a phone number
Tap the green plus beside add phone.
Add phone appears beneath the name fields.
STEP 6
Type their number
Tap Phone beside the mobile label and enter their number.
The empty Phone field is ready for a telephone number.
STEP 7
Check and save
Check the name and every digit, then tap the blue tick at the top right.
The blue tick saves the completed contact. Older versions may say Done.
STEP 8
Check the saved card
Your new contact’s name and number should now appear on their card.
The saved contact card shows Maria Smith and an example number.
